About the Junior Catholic Daughters
Junior Catholic Daughters of the Americas (JCDA), our youth program for girls ages 6 to 18 was founded in 1925. The Juniorettes, also known as the "Jetts" are ages 6 to 10. The Juniors are ages 11 to 18.
The JCDA motto is "Be Useful" with the mandate to "love God, serve others, and live nobly." JCDA's basic goals are:
- Develop one's character as a Christian
- Learn to work for the good of others
- Grow spiritually
- Be creative and flexible
JCDA offers Catholic girls a great opportunity to engage themselves in spiritual growth, leadership and service while they remain under the protective umbrella of our Catholic faith.
Our mentorship helps deepen JCDA's relationship with God, the Church and community. We empower them with leadership skills as they are the future of CDA, our Church and society.
